Sander van Doorn, the number 10 ranked DJ in the world, announced today that he has been tapped by global satellite radio giant Sirius XM (Nasdaq: SIRI ) as the newest on air talent for preeminent electronic music channel Area.

The weekly radio show, called Identity, is an extension of Sanders highly successful iTunes broadcast of the same name. Identity will have its inaugural launch on Thursday, July 22, 2010 and will feature an hour long mix from the superstar, along with commentary, tour news, exclusive contests and the most upfront electronic music on the planet. Once monthly, the show will also feature a 30 minute guestmix from a DJ handpicked by Sander as a way to further enhance the listeners experience.

Area is a globally recognized dance music channel on Sirius XM (ch 38 and 80 respectively) that brings listeners the most hotly tipped radio shows from the true titans of dance music today. Sander will be taking his well earned place amongst dance musics elite including; Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, and Tiesto among others.

Identity will air on Sirius 38 XM 80 every Thursday night at 10PM EST with a rebroadcast Sundays at 9PM EST and Tuesdays at 8PM EST.
