DJ / producer Ronald van Gelderen has remixed the new single for rock band Skunk Anansie. The new song ”My Ugly boy” – taken from the forthcoming album of Skunk Anansie ”Wonderlustre” which will be released on September 13th – will appear on digital download in August. Van Gelderen was contacted by the record company of Skunk Anansie to provide the new single with that typical ”van Gelderen sound”…

 

After a successful comeback this year with performances on the Dutch Rock festivals Pinkpop and Rock Werchter, Delivering a ”Best Of” album and releasing their new single ”My Ugly boy” it is safe to say that Skunk Anansie is back! Next to the official release of their new single ”My Ugly boy” the band decided that they also wanted the song to be remixed. With his long list of successful productions and remixes DJ / producer Ronald van Gelderen was asked to provide the new single with a smashing remix.

 

Ronald van Gelderen – especially known for his rough-around-the-edges energetic uplifting euphoric sound, and his extravagant reputation as the bad boy in the dance industry - always bringing urban disruption with his smashing productions, blended in perfectly in what the band Skunk Anansie stands for.

 

A pounding combination of rolling beats, sweat soaked synthlines and the always brilliant vocals by Skin, followed by the drums and guitars of the band itself, were the perfect ingredients for a successful remix. After personal approval of the band the release of the remix is scheduled for the end of August.
