It was New York City—where, in addition to New Orleans and London, he recorded the album--that was the draw for “Bandit Blues.”

“Being born there and having so much love for the city means I wear it on my sleeve,” says Venezia of ENTER THE NIGHT’s first single. “It's an incredible inspiration for me, but right now, it feels like there's a lot of struggle going on with the economy and the people. The economy being a mess, politics being a mess--everything is a mess. The only way to really enjoy it is through music."

To support the track, DROP THE LIME will embark on a select number of DJ dates. From now until the end of June, he’ll appear in Austin, Los Angeles, Miami and New York City. Complete dates and venues are:

DATE CITY VENUE

DJ set:

Thu 6/14 Austin, TX Beauty Bar

Thu 6/21 Los Angeles, CA Drai's Hollywood

Sat 6/23 Miami, FL Grand Central

Fri 6/29 New York, NY Webster Hall

Fri 7/13 Ottawa, ON RBC Royal Bank Ottawa Bluesfest

www.dropthelime.com

www.facebook.com/dropthelime

www.twitter.com/dropthelime

www.myspace.com/dropthelime

www.ultramusic.com

Fast emerging as one of the most unique and talented artists around, Mat Zo is gearing up for an incredible summer. On May 14, his latest anthem “The Sky,” feat. Linnea Schossow, will be available worldwide on Anjunabeats, and beginning June 11 he will join The Language Tour along with Porter Robinson and The M Machine, in addition to other preeminent gigs across North America.

Listen to Mat Zo "The Sky" SoundCloud Preview: soundcloud.com/anjunabeats/sets/mat-zo-feat-linnea-schossow/

Purchase "The Sky," Exclusively on Beatport: www.beatport.com/release/the-sky/906898

Mat’s newest dancefloor killer “The Sky” builds elegantly with a symphony of synths and leads into a sweeping breakdown fill of warm melodies and Schossow’s dinstinctive, searching tones. Lifting off with an epic thrust on the drop, “The Sky” is a classy crossover anthem that brings together elements of house, progressive, and trance into his own unique blend.

Taking the track down a more alternative and edgy direction, Zo's bass-heavy Club Mix is full of schizophrenic magic; twisting through different sections effortlessly in an eight-minute voyage. Beginning on a big room progressive house groove, Mat moves into a melodic, synth-driven breakdown before flipping in to a gnarly bass-throttled section that has been causing serious damage in Mat's recent sets from Miami's Bayfront Amphitheatre to London's Brixton Academy. Totally unexpected, the final drop comes loaded with surging synths.

Mat’s extensive North American schedule this summer is a true indicator of the young prodigy’s burgeoning demand and stardom. A large majority of the dates will include The Language Tour, joining another of electronic music’s preeminent young talents, Porter Robinson, and The M Machine, whose recent debut artist album Metropolis has met widespread praise.

To celebrate this upcoming tour, Mat has just released a new mix, the North American Fun Bus Mix. Check it out now.

Mat has also recently begun a YouTube series; ZoTV gives an inside look into the life of this burgeoning super star. With driving rhythms, epic builds and an anthemic and nostalgic vibe, the Classic Vocal Mix has already gained momentum as a Super8 & Tab fans' favourite, "Black Is Back"; featuring the distinctive male vocals of former Gabriel & Dresden collaborator Jan Burton in its breakdown.

On May 28, Axtone Records will release the debut mix compilation from superstar DJ, producer and remixer Thomas Gold. Entitled Axtone Presents Thomas Gold, – it’s all about Thomas Gold and his superior talents. For his mix, Thomas created cutting edge tracks from some of his favorite producers and combined them with his own special edits, remixes and original tracks; many of which you simply cannot hear anywhere else. It’s pure class and exactly what you’d expect from Thomas Gold - another superior release from Axwell’s beloved label.

Thomas Gold is rapidly rising through the dance world thanks to smashes including “Marsch Marsch” (Toolroom) and “Alive” and “Eyes Wide Open” in collaboration with Dirty South (Phazing). However it was “AGORa” with Steve Angello on Size that helped cement his status as a world-class producer. It wasn’t long before he was counting DJs as varied as Tiësto, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Laidback Luke, and of course, Swedish House Mafia as fans of his productions. Thomas’ newest track, “Sing2Me,” (Axtone) is a bona fide smash and it went straight to Beatport’s Number 1 spot on release.

Then there’s Thomas’ remixes - all heavy duty reworks of tracks from some of dance and pop music’s biggest stars. Thomas’ first major remix was Fatboy Slim’s “Star 69” which had instant impact, then he went onto re-rub two of pop music’s biggest female talents with Lady Gaga’s “Judas” and Adele “Set Fire To The Rain,” the latter of which currently boasts over 13 million views on Youtube. The next chapter in the Thomas Gold’s remix book comes via his brand new remix of Swedish indie pop legends Miike Snow “The Wave.” Check it out here.

Given his impeccable track record it’s no surprise that Axwell invited Thomas Gold to present the first in a new compilation series on his respected imprint. With Thomas given carte blanche on the track list he went all out to present his fans with a must-own compilation. It features Thomas’ own original tracks "Fanfare", "The Beginning" and "Circles" plus tracks from some of Dance music premier house producers including Moguai, Dirty South, Hard Rock Sofa, Michael Calfan, Henrik B, Adrian Lux, Norman Doray, Sander Van Doorn, Steve Aoki, Digitalism, David Guetta and Afrojack.

Axtone Presents Thomas Gold will be accompanied by an extensive international tour with iTunes exclusive release May 28th & all other digital stores June 4th.

Tracklisting

CD1

1.Thomas Gold - The Beginning

2.Hard Rock Sofa - Quasar

3.Adrian Lux - Teenage Crime (Thomas Gold 2012 Rework)

4.

German producer/DJ extraordinaire ROGER SHAH teams up with returning hit vocalist INGER HANSEN for this summer’s next installment of their successful collaboration series. Off ROGER SHAH’s new artist album ‘Openminded!?’, and with ‘Breaking Waves’ and ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ already under their belts, the duo have racked up over 15 million cumulative hits on YouTube.

The smooth and groovy bass line of the extended version of ‘Dance With Me’ instantly melts your heart at its core. The resounding foundation and melodic hook are deeply driven by the unwavering sound of the trademark Roger Shah Balearic guitar. Led by Inger Hansen’s powerful and unmistakable voice, ‘Dance With Me’ was designed to make you fall in love with the sound of music, over and over again. It’s hard to put the original extended version of this song into a genre. It’s a sexy love song fused with Balearic and festival-style rock influences.

In collaboration with artist agency, Talenthouse, Roger Shah hosted a “creative invite” for the international artist community to remix the original song. After a fierce competition, three finalists were each selected as winners and are featured with this release; including the sun-drenched Vinny remix, the housy Szilard Szargo remix and the deep and infectious Markus Engel remix. Also included are the edgy Tomas Heredia Remix and Dub mix as well as Roger Shah’s club rocking Pumpin’ Island Mix and Radio Video Edit.

Release Date: 7th May on all portals

Tracklist

1.	Dance With Me (Extended Mix)

2.	Dance With Me (Tomas Heredia Remix)

3.	Dance With Me (Roger's Pumpin' Island Mix)

4.	Dance With Me (Tomas Heredia Dub Mix)

5.	Dance With Me (Szilard Szargo Remix)

6.	Dance With Me (Vinny Remix)

7.	Dance With Me (Markus Engel Remix)

8.	Dance With Me (Radio Video Mix)

With a profound love and passion for deep house sounds, Italian craftsman Alexander Fog established Darkstar in 2011, a sister label to Techno Mafia Records (TMR). Darkstar is an outlet for the darker side of techno and moody deep house where quality prevails over quantity; a characteristic trade mark which Alexander Fog is synonym for.

Darkstar is rapidly becoming a household name in the impenetrable amount of labels known in the current electronic dance music scene. With a very strong online following of both the label and label owner Alexander Fog – the official Darkstar Facebook page has been liked over 100.000 times and counting – and with an ever expanding fan base and support of the global DJ elite, Darkstar and its artists may very well be considered a true asset to the music industry as we know it today.

As the Darkstar catalogue is growing swiftly, the imprint recently developed a series of online compilations to be unleashed on the digital highway on a regular basis. With a tracklist taken from the extensive Darkstar catalogue, the We Are Darkstar series will cater the needs of those in search of the finest deep house and tech house in the scene.

Tracklist:

1.

A distance of several thousand miles hasn’t stopped the combined talents of Miami’s Tim Grube and Los Angeleno Mike Hovsepian developing a substantial following in whip-quick time. Grube & Hovsepian are back this month with their first song-based outing - the beautiful 'Venom', which features the siren-like vocal allure of Tiffany Johnston.

Since becoming part of Markus Schulz’s management project Schulz Music Group, Tim and Mike have performed the biggest gigs to date, including the release party for the 'Los Angeles ’12' album at Avalon and the WMC closing party at Space in Miami. A standout highlight in both of those sets was this precision cut slice of progressive trance.

Since debuting on Markus Schulz's Global DJ Broadcast show back in March, it has quickly become a fan favourite and subsequently turned into one of Coldharbour’s most anticipated releases of the year to date. On the mix are 4-man production collective Miami Life, who have given the track a bouncier edge, combined it with a tougher, grooving feel.

This coast-to-coast musical alliance continues to advance at speed. 'Venom' strikes on May 7th!

Preview videos of both mixes online now:

Grube & Hovsepian Feat. Tiffany Johnston - Venom (Original Mix)

http://youtu.be/yb_nBEp5gf8

Grube & Hovsepian Feat. Tiffany Johnston - Venom (Miami Life Remix)

http://youtu.be/4dVLd4MrDcE

What the dance press say about 'Venom':

Grube & Hovesepian's latest: "masses atmosphere from start to finish", says EDM Mag and has "exceptional vocal delivery' for its "hang-off-every-word lyrics". The UK's DJ Mag thinks that "Venom’ could very well be Grube & Hovsepian’s coming-of-age track", giving it 8.5/10 in their May issue review. Mixmag meanwhile says that "Venom’ is a never less than enthralling listen"; "is packed with the type of suck-you-in prog-trance atmosphere that’s been MIA way too long" and declares that "as the vocal debut from the pair, it’s an extremely assured one".

After countless singles, remixes and an album release under the well known Progression guise, Daniel Wanrooy now moves on to a whole new level in his career and presents his debut solo album entitled “Slice Of Life”.

Daniel has been pretty busy in the midst of the recording sessions for his new album. While working on “Slice Of Life” he finished remix assignments for The Crystal Method, Super8 & Tab, JES and Thrillseekers and saw his earlier single “Endless Moments” secured by Ferry Corsten, who used it for his double mix compilation “Once Upon A Night, Vol.2”. The same happened with Betsie Larkin with Super8 & Tab’s “All We Have Is Now” in the Daniel Wanrooy remix, which Corsten grabbed for “Full On Ferry - Ibiza”.

If that wasn’t enough, Daniel also delivered his DJ mix for the “In Trance We Trust, Volume 14” mix compilation. Bookings poured in and Daniel performed in Brazil, Taiwan, South Africa and the U.K and in most European countries. This summer, Daniel will make his debut on Ibiza.

The prelude to all these achievements was the single “Ocean Terrace”, which now appears on the album in a special 2012 version that already gained the support of Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and BBC Radio 1. Richard Durand reserved it for his “In Search of Sunrise 8, South Africa” mix compilation. Durand later requested Daniel’s “Bangalore” for his “In Search of Sunrise 9, India”, once again confirming the outstanding quality of the tracks.

For the album Daniel collaborated with several established artists such as USA Idols finalist Blake Lewis, Elliot Johns, Emma Lock and Hannah Ray. He mastered the album together with Tiësto’s producer Dennis Waakop Reijers-Fraaij.

Daniel Wanrooy is proud to present the album in its full glory. He has put a lot of effort in the project and ceased the opportunity to move between styles, showcasing his skills as a prolific producer: “For the “Slice Of Life” project my goal was to work with various sounds in order to create a varied Electronic Dance Music album, with influences of progressive, house, trance and even techno, moving the BPM between 123 and 133. Working with the biggest vocalists in the scene made this an accomplishment that I am really proud of.”

One thing is clear: Daniel Wanrooy’s “Slice Of Life” is a unique electronic dance album that will become the best addition to your collection this year!

Tracklist:

01. Friuli

02. Put Yourself Through This (with Elliot Johns)

03. Ocean Terrace 2.0

04. Tracks like “The Gift,” “Ajare,” “Mindcircus,” and “Killa” all established their world-class reputation, while numerous high profile remixes (Orbital, Inner City, Sasha) solidified their reputation as preeminent studio masters. The duo has also performed around the world, including a 5 piece live act in support of 2004’s Don’t Look Now album, and a huge tour alongside Faithless.

Even before his Way Out West fame, at the age of 13, a precocious Wisternoff made it to the finals of the DMC DJ Championships and was producing hip-hop soon after. Three years later, he was controlling the 5,000-strong crowd as a DJ at the famous 90s rave Universe, before helping to pioneer the early UK rave sound as part of West Country breakbeat outfit Sub Love (with Full Cycle’s DJ Die, later a member of Roni Size’s Reprazent crew).

The diversity of his past experiences combine to create his long-awaited solo artist album Trails We Blaze. Blending elements of house, nu disco, progressive, techno and bass, the album condenses Jody’s personal journey through music into 12 diverse electronic grooves, referencing his classic and contemporary musical loves.

Representing Jody’s modern take on Balearic grooves, tracks like the “How You Make Me Smile” (feat. Pete Josef) and the nu-disco influenced “Just One More” are both soulful and sophisticated, perfect for balmy summer nights.

The album isn't without its darker shades though. Harking back to his years lost in Bristol bass bins, the hypnotic techno groover “95” and the hip-hop indebted “Red Stripes” both reference Jody's love of vintage jungle, while reworks of the Pete Tong-endorsed “Starstrings’ and the Beatport # 1 “Cold Drink, Hot Girl” update two of his most classic solo tracks.

Also available this month, remixes of "How You Make Me Smile" by Vincenzo (Dessous) and Celsius. These represent the diversity of Anjunadeep, as the label continues to push itself into the deeper and more varied sides of house music.

Release Dates

May 14 Jody Wisternoff feat.

In a bold move, globally acclaimed EDM (electronic dance music) DJ/producer Richard Durand and Black Hole Recordings are giving music fans a chance to have their very own track included on the North American installment of the earth-encompassing artist album, Richard Durand Vs The World (Black Hole)! With a total of five E.P.s – each E.P. representing one continent or region of the globe – the Richard Durand Vs North America (Black Hole) E.P. will feature three tracks: one track that is 100% composed by Richard Durand; a second track that is a collaboration between Richard Durand and a noteworthy North American artist; and the third track consisting of the “winning” submission as voted on by fans and the public. The crowdsourced competition is open to the general public and launches on March 26th, 2012. The submissions deadline for North America is April 23rd, 2012. The Richard Durand Vs North America E.P. will be officially released and available for retail purchase on May 21st, 2012. Contestants must use stems provided by Richard Durand, but beyond that, there’s no limit to the possibilities of one’s imagination. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for budding singers, songwriters and/or producers!

Stems for the Richard Durand Vs North America E.P. competition can be downloaded at Richard Durand’s website: www.richarddurand.com. Simply download the app and the base track. Contestants can go anywhere they wish from there. Contestants are encouraged to apply melodies, effects, basslines, percussion, vocals…there are literally no creative constraints. Composers of the winning track will receive a writing share plus artist’s royalties.

Once the submissions deadline has passed, Richard Durand will select his favorite candidate tracks and post them for public listening on his Soundcloud page. Fans, fellow producers and music-lovers of all shapes and sizes will then be invited to post their comments on and vote for their favorites. Richard Durand wants to know what the fans think! After all, the art of the skilled DJ is to maintain a give-and-take with his/her audience. After considering all comments and votes, Durand will choose one lucky winner – which can be an individual producer, a singer, or a production team consisting of more than one person, for example – and the winning track will be included on the official Richard Durand Vs North America E.P. released May 21st.

After all five continents/regions and their respective E.P.s have been completed and the individual E.P.s released, Black Hole Recordings will release one comprehensive and cumulative album comprising tracks from all five E.P.s onto one massive artist album, Richard Durand Vs The World, in the fall of 2012. All winning tracks previously included on each of the five E.P.s will also be included on the final Vs The World album. In 2012, you’ll believe an album can fly.

http://www.blackholerecordings.com/

http://www.richarddurand.com/

The Gallery is world renowned, having provided ‘excellence in the art of sound’ to crazy clubbers for over seventeen poignant years.

Every Friday at London’s iconic Ministry Of Sound, those revolutionary laser tinged sessions have entrenched The Gallery into a life ritual. Showcasing sacred headline acts alongside cutting edge talent, The Gallery is forever amassing a loyal fan base. ‘Social Deconstruction’ reflects why.

(Forthcoming through Enhanced Music on the 28th May 2012)

CD Preorder: <a href="http://bit.ly/GSD-SHOP

With">bit.ly/GSD-SHOP

With conventional compilations churning out seemingly the same material, Social Deconstruction features The Gallery’s current legends and future heroes. Each with an exclusive track built explicitly from scratch, their Gallery experience has been broken down, analysed and re–constructed in musical form. Riffs, synths and loops lovingly assembled, to represent each artist’s most cherished Gallery memory. From Ministry’s main room debauchery, through to next door’s hectic 103 melange, Social Deconstruction dismantles The Gallery magic into an electronic aural blueprint.

The rush, the crowd, the love, the euphoria. Each part interlocking for that life changing experience, across 24 ground breaking tracks – that can’t be heard anywhere else from the likes of Kyau vs Albert, Tritonal, W&W, Jochen Miller, The Thrillseekers, Ronski Speed, Alex M.O.R.P.H, Manuel De La Mare, Daniel Kandi, Max Graham, M.I.K.E, Stoneface & Terminal and many more!

“Social Deconstruction is special, having been developed specifically with Gallery fans in mind. It also reflects our forward thinking resolve, which defines The Gallery night from any other. I’d like to thank every artist who has devoted their time and effort. A dedication shared by the faithful week in, week out. For this The Gallery is eternally grateful.” Gavyn Mytchel (Gallery Resident)

Social Deconstruction mixed by Gavyn Mytchel – Tracklisting

CD One

1. Gavyn Mytchel – EC1 to SE1 (Original Mix)

2. Manuel De La Mare – 103 (Original Mix)

3. My Digital Enemy – Totem 103 (Original Mix)

4. Marcel Woods – New Feeling (Original Mix)

5. Riley & Durrant – Femme Retrospectif (Original Mix)

6. Ronski Speed – Proton12 (Original Mix)

7. First State – Backstage (Original Mix)

8. Claudia Cazacu – Emerge (Original Mix)

9. Ali Wilson – Quest (Original Mix)

10.

Ahhh we remember it well... The summer of 2009. Each and every year theres one record thats universally tagged as the 'Soundtrack of the Summer'. These, more often than not, party anthems have their seed steadily sown. From the producer to his close group of friends. A fizz of excitement. Then the lucky 'Tastemakers,' who play it each and every set. The buzz grows as the track soon takes hold of every dancefloor in every party destination. Whilst the timescale of this exciting air of mystery and suspense has shortened over the years, each year there will always be that one track that defines the summer party season. Some seasons debate may rage over the awarding of the title, but in 2009 there was never any question…

That summer saw the first release from Rejected's 'Dusty House' series as label chief Joris Voorn dropped 'Room 1', a two tracker that was set to not only become the biggest club release of the year, but one that also instigated a filtered house revival. Whilst 'Empty Trash" occupied the unenviable B Side and garnered great support, it was the lead cut "Sweep The Floor" that really stole the show and set the scene alight. The cheeky filtered stabbing number with its huge party-starting drops became the DJ's 'go to' record and even found itself soundtracking feature trailers on BBC Radio 1.

With other artists commandeering the rooms of Rejected's Dusty House, including fellow label owner Edwin Oosterwal, its been a while since the label boss Voorn has been in residence. Now he's back and ready to drop his next brace of hits. "Spank The Maid" finds the Dutchman in a mischievous mood as he builds and drops with an organ riff and cut up vocal. On the flip Joris brings the 80's hollywood synths and rattling snares to create yet another essential club cut.

"Spank The Maid" is set to feature in Nic Fanciulli's upcoming Balance mix and we're bringing it to you… Right now. Enter the Dusty House and check out Room 6 now!

http://www.rejected.nl/

Headliner Ville Virtanen otherwise known as Darude, along with several local acts, delivered a class A electrifying performance!

As the saying goes, “surprises come in small packages” and this venue was no exception. Dharma is as welcoming as it sounds. Attendees are greeted with an array of glow sticks varying in all styles and colors. Dancers and glow stick twirlers unite on the one level dance floor. Unlike many venues, the booth is high enough to hide precious equipment yet accessible to people of any height wanting to see their favorite artist up close. Even non-VIP members have access to benches and tables for a quick break of dancing without missing any of the action. Bamboo walls surround the majority of the club including the smoking area. A massive Buddha statue crowned with headphones towers over the luxurious bar. Staff and attendees were highly heartening. Based on a 10-scale system, Dharma brings in a high 9!

Opening with van Doorn’s ever-growing crowd pleaser, “Something Inside”, it was clear Ville was here on pure passion. Armed with a microphone, he was happy to announce some of his favorite tracks, which included a classic by Super 8 & Tab that we all know as “Helsinki Scorchin”. And of course, what Darude set would be complete without his epic “Before the Storm” classics: “Sandstorm” and “Feel the Beat”. He reworked his masterpieces but left the melodies recognizable. After ending his performance, he invited fans to greet him on the dance floor and never turned down an autograph, photo, or even gifts of glow bracelets.

The combination of trance, house, techno, lots of classics and an extremely warm personality are just some of the many characteristics that set him apart from today’s talents. Since starting out as a producer back in the late 90’s, Darude’s attitude is based solely on his passion and love for music and sharing it with those similar. Even after 13 years since his debut, his success still has yet to hit home and is surprised when fans are eager to dub him as an inspiration, respectively. He feels the same way about certain artists that have inspired his work, including BT; nevertheless, understanding.

Not only do I encourage club-goers and music lovers to attend his performances but musicians as well. In this fast-paced, evolving world, it is extremely important to remember who you are despite your status. Darude is a rare example of staying true to yourself, your work, and your support.

Review by Abby Duran

Photos by Anh Le

<object id="ci_71584_o" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="400" height="248">

http://www.darude.com/

http://dharmacharlotte.com/

Acclaimed DJ Tiesto took notice of this Swedish duo and supported their releases from the very start. Now they’ve just released a compilation on Tiesto’s brand new label; Musical Freedom.

Review:

Dada Life’s Musical Freedom compilation is a little over an hour in length and the electrifying energy begins the second you hit play. The opening track “Kick Out The Epic Motherf**cker” is a well-known crowd pleaser and an original production of Dada Life themselves and has been a staple in their live performances. Next up is the Nicky Romero mix of “Haters” which has a synthy lead and a classic bouncy bassline. We’re not haters, so we certainly won’t hate on this track.

The vocal mix of “Happy Violence” is so infectious and catchy; you really can’t help but sing along. The only violence this track makes me incite is violence on the dance floor with my happy feet. The mixing proceeds flawlessly with exciting build ups followed by explosive drops. The techy monster “Bust the Beat” comes in next and is immediately followed by “My Life” and this is when the severely anthemic house chords and stabs come into play along with the vocals of TJR & Sue Cho. The track “Future Folk” holds true to its title with some eclectic bag pipe inspired synths.

Just when you thought the synths couldn’t get any heavier they do, and the groove also intensified to prepare for the transition into “Unleash the F**cking Dada”. I can tell that track is coming in from miles away within seconds, meaning… it’s time to get crazy to some of the filthiest bass lines around like only Dada can bring! It continues well into the next tracks “Bassive”, “Kling Klong”, and “Daftastic” appropriately.

At this point it gets really “Epic” and each track get’s more electro infused than the last as we reach Dada’s “Rolling Stone T-Shirt” with its clever unconventional lyrics. Dada Life just released a pretty cool music video for the track; you can check it out here: <a< a=""></a<>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyE99hBLnvA

The compilation comes to a close with a track by the label head himself; Tiesto with the track Maximal Crazy and those words would definitely come to mind when describing the tracks included on this release.

Tracklist:

<div align="center" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; It didn't take long for him to climb up the latter of success when his track “Timeless” appeared on Armin's ASOT 2005 Yearmix and consequently became the tune of the year.

Digitally Enhanced are compilations put together by Will Holland with the latest and greatest releases on the label Enhanced Recordings. This compilation is so well mixed that the listener won't even notice a track change.

Review:

Disk one which has the more slower progressive feel to it and starts off with a beautiful Beat Service remix of a vocal track “Every Heartbeat” by Will Holland featuring Jeza, which begins slowly but eventually picks up speed and an on-going progressive beat. Like any other Beat Service track, “Mars” presents deep and hard beats, yet provides a beautiful faint melody making this track out of this world. Followed by the young and talented Audien with “The Reach”, definitely a club banger with driving synths and steady beats. Next up is Juventa's “Nothing But Less Than Three” which in my opinion took an unexpected turn with its dubstep breakdown, and had no match for me in this compilation. Definitely a deep and groovy Norin & Rad remix of “Easily I Feel” by a newly formed duo Bissen and vocalist Jeza, also known as Exostate, which also explores a brilliant uplifting breakdown inbetween all the grooviness. “When You” by The Madison starts off on a lighter note, and gives off an airy and uplifting vibe with faint female vocals. As of last year, Tritonal released their latest album “Piercing The Quiet” with many hits that we've heard over the past few months. “Everafter” featuring Cristina Soto is definitely one of them. Mike Shiver made this remix a best of both worlds – progressive and uplifting, as well as included a sweet piano breakdown. A brand new track by Jo Micali and C-Systems “Love Is Strong (Estiva Remix)” with vocals by Hanna Finsen is definitely an excellent tune nobody can miss out on. Another vocal track “Death Of Me” by Estiva lands its spot as the second to last tune on disk one. This proglifting track has a very memorable melody and mesmerizing vocals by Tania Zygar. Closing off the first disc with Rafael Frost remix of “Azzura”, a track by Boom Jinx and Daniel Kandi that has been sweeping off dancefloors, and hitting up all possible compilations. This tune has a distinct sound and a great bassline.

The second disk kicks off with “Alpine (Karanda Intro Remix)” by Fast Distance which has an orchestral introduction but soon turns into hard beats and an instrumental melody. Audien returns with another track “Keep This Memory (Johan Malmgren Remix)” on this compilation, it is more upbeat and melodic. Deep but bouncy is “Blind (Original Mix)” by Alan Morris and Sequentia, that has a beautiful piano breakdown, and then continues very melodically jumping straight into the deep bassline again. Another track that has been flying around from compilation to compilation is “Insert Generic Title” by Daniel Kandi, a very successful uplifting trance DJ. This tune has a proglifting feel to it, and is very upbeat and enjoyable. “Ari” by C-Systems is a powerful track with exotic vocals by Bushi, another great tune as an addition to this compilation. Followed by a collaboration between Sequentia and Jaco producing “Crossfire” which has roaring synths and steady beats. The young and talented Willem de Roo presents his brand new track “Datamoon” on this compilation; it is a great uplifting track that you'll have playing on repeat. Another beautifully crafted uplifting track “Welcome Home” by Suncatcher lands a spot in this compilation; it has great piano riffs, is upbeat, and has a lot of energy. By the second to last track, BPM really picks up with “Lacuna” by Deepwide, a Finnish DJ duo. This track has a melody fixed to a string sound and continuous beat. Last but not least is another Tritonal featuring Cristina Soto track “Still With Me” that was originally released last year on their newest album. Suncatcher has remastered it into a great uplifting remix with dreamy elements.

Digitally Enhanced is a great compilation for anyone who is a fan of trance, whether you like progressive or uplifting, it does not matter, and everyone will be satisfied with the song selections. Will Holland mixed both albums very well, and there is nothing but pure energy floating around.

Review by Eva Sipkova

https://www.facebook.com/willhollandofficial

http://www.enhancedmusic.com/
