Laidback Luke to release “Speak Up!” + launches massive North American bus tour

Laidback Luke returns with his long awaited new single “Speak Up” featuring Wynter Gordon. Destined to be one of the most talked about tracks of Miami Music Week and the entire spring, “Speak Up!” is Luke at his finest – massive energy and stomping builds are matched with gentle melodies and a flawless vocal from Wynter Gordon. The perfect recipe for a chart crossover club anthem! “Speak Up” is released March 12^th on Beatport and March 27^th at all other digital partners.

To celebrate the release of "Speak Up!," Laidback Luke is set to embark on his biggest adventure yet – a bus tour across the North America. Commencing March 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada and ending April 22 in Bloomington, Indiana this seven-week tour brings Laidback Luke and his Mixmash cohorts GTA and Oliver Twizt to cities of all sizes; many of which Luke’s never visited before. "I’m so about my Speak Up! Bus Tour. It’s a first for me and so I am looking forward to a completely new experience, performing at places I've never been to before now. Already well known for a multitude of collaborations with various big names including David Guetta, Diplo and A-Trak, Laidback Luke more recently hooked up with Sander van Doorn on the stellar track “Who’s Wearing The Cap”, a mash up of trance, progressive and electro. Luke's latest collaboration with Arno Cost and Norman Doray "Trilogy" went successful on charts in no time. 2011 also saw Luke enjoying chart success on UK Top 40 hit, Natural Disaster with Example, as well as his work with Steve Aoki and the master of crunk Lil’ Jon on Turbulence that took over Radio 1 airwaves.

In addition to working with fellow stalwarts of the electronic music industry, Luke has also remixed stellar pop acts from Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Tiësto, MSTRKRFT ft. John Legend, Dizzee Rascal, Avicii, Moby, and most recently, Pitbull Ft. Marc Anthony “Rain Over Me” and Madonna “Give Me All Your Love.” It’s not just producing music that has keeps Luke busy. Borgore Returns With New EP ‘Flex’ February 28/37-Date Headlining Tour Kicks Off March 16

Lock up your livestock. BORGORE—bass culture’s enfant terrible—has returned to terrorize speakers and stages yet again with a new release and tour. The man who claims he “ruined dubstep” will release FLEX, his fifth EP of original material, February 28 on his own Buygore label and will then will follow up with a massive 37-date headlining tour that includes stops at Ultra Music Festival and Coachella. FLEX represents the latest salvo in the 24-year-old producer/songwriter/DJ’s rapid ascent. The formally trained jazz musician’s original tracks and remixes (spanning M.I.A., Rusko, and Britney Spears to LMFAO and Passion Pit) have become club smashes. He recently collaborated with Diplo on the track “Animal” off of Yelawolf’s smash, Eminem-cosigned debut Radioactive. FLEX, though, proves BORGORE’s most ambitious effort yet. “Kiss My Lips”—a monstrous collaboration with Dev, the dance-music siren behind hits for Far East Movement and David Guetta—is already spawning dancefloor mayhem. There’s two versions of the title track—one a pounding dubstep version, the other a hip-hop flavored take influenced by the “trap music” of Waka Flocka Flame and Lex Luger—which prove BORGORE’s hardest, raunchiest beats yet.

Completing the package is the video for “Flex,” an over-the-top spoof of rap-video excess directed by Richard Farmer (winner of an MTV Video Music Award for his work on Gnarls Barkley’s innovative “Run” clip). The dubstep version of the “Flex” video made it’s debut on UKF Dubstep late January and now can be viewed at:http://youtu.be/_9h5v5bTRIw. “It’s next-level offensive,” BORGORE laughs.

Meanwhile, expect BORGORE to scale new heights of outrageousness as well on his upcoming tour, which takes him along the Eastern U.S. coast, the South and into the Southwest. “Most DJs just sleep behind the decks, checking their email,” BORGORE notes. “I try to bring some stage presence.” That’s an understatement. BORGORE’spropulsive, interactive live shows have turned him into one of electronic music’s most popular, controversial figures. His trademark combination of bass-in-your-face frenzy and pole-dancer grinding typically climaxes with a cavalcade of bare breasts onstage and him crowd surfing over furious mosh pits; expect this latest jaunt to be BORGORE’s most wild escapade yet. “What excites me is making the live show even crazier,” he explains. “I’m saying the craziest shit, doing the craziest stuff you’re not supposed to do. I never thought it would get to this point–but whenever I accomplish one dream, I want to get the next, bigger one.”

Pretty Lights Releases We Must Go On Single and Self-Produced Music Video

Derek Vincent Smith (aka Pretty Lights) has just released a new classic sounding PL track titled “We Must Go On”, along with a self-made music video that displays the artist’s innovative nature as he continues to push the boundaries of the title Producer.

The track is a soulful hip-hop jam, laced with a vocal hook that is uplifting, reflective, optimistic, and hauntingly beautiful all at the same time.

The video expresses and channels emotions in a beautiful collage of shots that capture little moments in people's lives, from the joyous, to the innocent, to the desperate. It does so with an editing style based on quickly cut shots, and extremely precise synchronicity with the music, so much so that the audio and video become one. Derek collaborated with Krystle Blackburn (PLM's Creative Director) to create this new style of music video.

According to Smith, “…the creation of this track and video is also an artistic explanation as to why I chose the name “Pretty Lights” for my musical project. It embodies the essence of the artistic eye and the idea that almost any moment, anywhere, can be a moment of inspiration and beauty.”

Fledgling Indian outfit the Progressive Brothers have become the first artists to become co-producers on the extraordinary boundary breaking ‘Richard Durand Vs. The World’ album project. Created from the track stems Richard placed online back in November, their track ‘Veda’ won out in the fiercely contested Australia/Asia quarter of the competition. With DJ Mag saying: "Durand excels with the first of his ‘Vs. The World’ EPs", his solo track for the EP ‘Chopstick’ is a seismic club-shocker that you’ll be hearing plenty of in his sets over the coming month! Mixmag meanwhile described the EP’s tyDi collab, entitled ‘Loose Unit’ as “working in some great robust riffs and warping, avant-garde piano lines”. Things started with a bang for Dash Berlin in 2007 when Armin van Buuren featured "Till The Sky Falls Down" on the renowned ‘Universal Religion’ album. Chris Lake New Single “Build Up” + Upcoming Tour Dates

Following the success of his debut single for Ultra Music, Chris Lake returns with "Build Up," the follow-up to “Sundown” and the second single to be taken from his forthcoming album for the label.

“Build Up” epitomizes exactly why Chris Lake has been garnering so much attention of late with his huge house sound. Opening on a clipped rhythm and taut arpeggios, the distorted synth swathes open up the track as it breaks down letting the gorgeous vocal from GiTA float through the mix. Continuing to build layers of percussion and color, the lead synths burst through the track as the drum line kicks back in and the sidechained bass swells through the low end, giving it a powerful and expansive energy that is guaranteed to cause an impact on the dance floor.

Tommy Trash joins in the action with his edit. Keeping true to the vibe of the original, he pares back the synth lines allowing the streamlined rhythm and gritty bass tones to strike through the mix. Eventually he unleashes those synths in a flurry of colour and re-ignited vigour, kicking things up a gear to play out the track.

Pete Tong, a lasting champion of Lake's music, aired the track on his Radio 1 show on Friday, and the track has been getting support from Tiesto, David Guetta, Avicii, Andi Durrant, Norman Doray & Arno Cost to name a few.

In the US, Chris has two Billboard Dance Airplay #1’s under his belt, and “Build Up” shows already signs of being the third.
